01Who you’ll work with

Every review is done by a clinician.

When you work with BB&S Associates, the records are read by Monica Segall herself: a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant and board-certified Nurse Practitioner.

Over more than 30 years in nursing and clinical practice, her work has covered direct patient care, healthcare administration, and assisted living management. She brings that full view to medical-legal matters: what happened at the bedside, how it was documented, and the systems that shaped both.

She works with attorneys and law firms preparing cases, and with healthcare and clinical businesses that want an experienced clinician to review their charts for risk.

02Credentials

“What qualifies you to say so?”

Trained in both languages.

Two credentials, one in each discipline, built on three decades of clinical work.

  • Certified Legal Nurse Consultant

Training in applying nursing and clinical knowledge to legal matters, and in working with attorneys on how medical records bear on a case.

  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner

Advanced clinical practice: assessment, diagnosis, and treatment decisions. The same reasoning a chart is supposed to record.

  • Years of nursing & clinical experience

Across direct patient care, healthcare administration, and assisted living management.

03Perspective

“Why does background matter?”

One record, read from three vantage points.

  1. 01 · Bedside

    Direct patient care

Knowing how care is actually delivered and charted makes it easier to see when an entry doesn’t fit.

What did the patient need, and when?
  2. 02 · Systems

    Healthcare administration

Policies, staffing, and procedures sit behind every chart. Administrative experience helps place an event in that context.

What should the process have been?
  3. 03 · Long-term care

    Assisted living management

Long-term settings have their own documentation and operational realities. Management experience means reading them from the inside.

How does this setting really run?
